J.P. Morgan Wealth Plan

TLDR: Wealth Plan is a modern financial planning hub in the Chase app that I led from concept to launch, now powering over one million customer plans.

Key business outcomes (for 2024)

  • ~4M customers visit the Wealth Plan Hub each month; ~1.6% (≈40k) are considered “engaged.”

  • 1.9% of Hub visitors set up long‑term goals, with an average of 1.7 goals for self‑directed investors.

  • On average, 13 Personal Advisors investment accounts open per month (≈$26.5K at opening), and 58 managed investment accounts open per month (≈$125.6K at opening).

  • Milestone of 1-million individual financial plans achieved in Q1 2024

Case study overview

Wealth Plan is a unified personal financial management hub inside the Chase mobile app, originally incubated as “Plan & Track.” It brings spending insights, goals, net worth, benchmarks, and guided next steps together in a modern, visually rich experience designed to make planning and investing more approachable.

I led the design strategy and stakeholder alignment, defining a customer‑agnostic information architecture that scales across segments and partnering with Design Systems to introduce reusable, data‑driven visual patterns now used across Chase.

After a strategic pivot expanded eligibility to ~40M card‑ and deposit‑only customers, Wealth Plan has grown to ~4M monthly visitors, drives measurable goal‑setting and new investment accounts, and—per a recent JPMorgan Chase press release—has now powered over 1 million individual financial plans, validating the original vision and catalyzing a broader visual evolution of Chase’s digital ecosystem.
